Course objectives

• The path of a scientific product: from the idea to the scientific communication
• Pros & Cons of the different experimental approaches
• Basics of inferential statistics
• Overview of the Open Science Movement

Results of learning outcomes

Students will be able to follow the entire process of a scientific product, knowing each step of a research project.

Students will also be aware of the problems related to the sampling procedures, their risks and possible solutions.

Students will know web-based open source tools to frame the research work in an Open Science viewpoint.

Course delivery

Lessons will be held on the 10^th, 17^th, 24^th of February 2023 (10.00 – 14.00)

Lessons will be in presence - webex connection on demand only for students that are abroad (Lessons will be held online on the Webex platform at the following link:
