In itinere evaluation and admission to thesis defense

Progress in the research plan is evaluated by the PhD scientific board based on written reports (yearly) and oral presentations (at the end of the first year and at the end of the last year). At the end of each academic year (1^stand 2^nd year), students are required to submit to the scientific board a written report describing their research activity as well as formative activities they have attended (Annual Report). At the end of the first year and at the end of the last year, students also give oral presentations in which they present their research project to the scientific board and to other students (Instructions for the data report presentations). Oral presentations will be evaluated by Professors through this form. Each year, the 15th of September is the deadline to send the written data report and to update the personal student page.

Important:
It is mandatory to fill out the MORE and ANVUR questionnaires for first and second year PhD students in order to enroll in the following year. The questionnaires, when it is possible to fill them out, are sent to PhD students by the University via mail on their institutional emails (@edu.unito.it).

To be admitted to thesis defense, each student is expected to have published as first author at least one publication related to the thesis in an indexed journal. The scientific board deliberates admission to thesis defense based on a written report (Pre-Thesis Report) and an oral progress report. ANVUR and MORE Questionnaires

It is fundamental and mandatory that PhD Students at the end of first and second PhD years complete the ANVUR and MORE questionnaires which can be found at this link: www.edumeter.unito.it

To complete the questionnaires, simply log in to edumeter with own credentials and you will find the two questionnaires.

The application window is between late September and early October. The exact application deadlines are announced annually.

Here is the procedure for accessing the surveys:
● Click on the following link www.edumeter.unito.it and Log in using your SCU MyUnito credentials
● Click on "Enter"

● At that point, you will see the MORE Survey, an internal Questionnaire concerning dimensions of interest to the University, developed in collaboration with PhD student representatives, and the ANVUR Survey, foreseen at a national level for all Universities.

Please note that the surveys are completely anonymous and will only take a few minutes of your time.
Please note that to access the surveys on the Edumeter platform, you must log in with your "PhD student profile" and not with your "student profile".
